Le mouvement Karim président a fêté hier ses 8 ans. Il a été lancé le 18 mars 2009 par Amina Sakho et ses camarades. «Nous étions conscients en lançant ce mouvement, qu’il s’agissait d’un engagement pour relever un défi : celui d’accompagner notre frère Karim Wade au Palais de la Ré- publique. Après deux mandats à la tête de l’État, le Président Maître Abdoulaye Wade avait fini de placer le Sénégal sur les rampes d’une véritable émergence», peut-on lire dans un communiqué. Le texte relève que ce mouvement a choisi Karim Wade en raison de ses qualités et de ses compétences requises pour poursuivre le travail du «bâtisseur» Me Wade. Par ailleurs, ce mouvement note que «jamais le Sénégal n’a vécu sous un régime aussi austère». Il estime que face à ces dérives qui «menacent» profondément les arcanes de notre «jeune» démocratie, les Sénégalais doivent apporter la riposte adéquate en votant massivement pour une Assemblée de rupture, susceptible de contrôler et de limiter les pouvoirs «exorbitants» du Président de la République. Selon Amina Sakho et ses camarades, une cohabitation à partir de juillet 2017 est envisageable
