Le journaliste n’a pas donné les raisons de son départ, mais on peut imaginer que c’est à cause des récents propos qu’un de ses chroniqueurs a tenus sur son plateau d’émission. Ce dernier disait : « Pour les viols, je coupe la poire en deux. Vous faites tout pour que nous vous violions. Et quand nous vous violons, nous allons en prison. Et vous qui avez tout fait pour que nous vous violions, vous restez libres. »
