Le Président de la République a reçu, avant-hier au palais, autour d’un « Ndogou » une délégation d’une douzaine d’étudiants de l’Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis. A l’Université Cheikh Anta Diop, les responsables des amicales d’étudiants n’ont pas apprécié cette démarche qui vise selon eux, à « casser la dynamique enclenchée par les étudiants pour la résolution totale de leurs préoccupations, plus particulièrement le paiement des bourses et la justice sur la mort de notre camarade Fallou Séne ».
« Nous n’avons rien contre l’Ugb, nous sommes tous des étudiants ; nous défendons les mêmes cause, mais le bon sens voudrait que les étudiants soient unis pour mener ce combat. Ce sont simplement les universités qui diffèrent, mais le problème des étudiants reste le même », déclare à L’Observateur, Assane Faye, membre du collectif des étudiants de l’Ucad. Mieux, il ajoute qu’ils n’ont été informés de cette rencontre avec le chef de l’Etat qu’à la dernière minute.
« Nous avions pensé donner à l’Ugb, la latitude de dégager les points saillants sur lesquels nous devions nous prononcer, mais à notre grande surprise, c’est au dernier moment que nos camarades de l’Ugb nous ont fait savoir que puisqu’à l’Ucad il n’y a pas d’amicale au niveau des grandes facultés, ils ne pouvaient pas collaborer avec les facultés qui n’ont pas d’amicale », regrette M. Faye.
Qui souligne qu’au niveau des facultés, il y a les représentants des étudiants à travers des listes légalement constitués et reconnues. But last not least, M. Faye réclame à son tour une audience pour les amicales de l’Ucad. Ce qui ne va pas tarder, si l’on croit El Hadji Hamidou Kassé. « Si mes informations sont exactes, il a été acté une audience avec la Coordination nationale des étudiants du Sénégal », confie le ministre et conseiller en communication du Président Sall.
