L’interprétation qui est faite de cette vidéo est complètement fausse et dénuée de fondement ; aussi bien les faits que le contexte de préparation de la visite peuvent l’attester», dit-il.
Avant de poursuivre à travers une déclaration parvenue à Tribune : «Le collège de Hann Bel-Air a bénéficié de travaux de réhabilitation-extension dans le cadre du Projet d’Appui au Développement de l’Enseignement moyen dans la région de Dakar (ADEM/Dakar) qui concerne 16 autres collèges et qui vise, entre autres, à accroître l’offre éducative, par la construction de 8 nouveaux collèges et la réhabilitation-extension de 9 autres existants. Ces nouvelles constructions et ces extensions ont justement pour finalité de faire baisser le nombre moyen d’élèves par classe dans les établissements scolaires et zones concernés.» Selon lui, « il est donc normal et compréhensible que le collège de Hann Bel-Air, qui a vu sa réhabilitation-extension le faire passer de 10 à 30 salles de classe, voie son ratio moyen d’élèves par classe baisser de manière significative. Il est tout aussi normal et compréhensible que cette baisse intervienne au moment de l’inauguration, donc de l’occupation, par les élèves, des nouvelles salles de classe.»
Non sans dire que «que des mesures de réaménagement des salles de classe que devaient visiter les deux chefs d’Etat, ont été prescrites, d’un commun accord, lors d’une visite conjointe effectuée au collège, par les services compétents du Sénégal et de la France en vue de permettre aux deux Présidents et à leur délégation, mais aussi à la presse internationale et nationale, de pouvoir entrer dans la salle de classe.»
