En prélude à son anniversaire, qu’il célèbre le 03 mars 2018 au Théâtre national Daniel Sorano, Mame Gor Diazaaka a fait face à la presse. Il en a profité pour présenter son nouveau album, mais aussi parler de son nouveau concept consistant à “vendre la destination Sénégal”.
Donnant son point de vue sur les tendances musicales actuelles, le chanteur indique que la musique sénégalaise est, pour la plus part, dominée par l’ambiance. Quant à lui, c’est l’utile à l’agréable qu’il joint.
“Je ne suis pas comme certains artistes qui, au lieu de faire du spectacle, préfèrent chanter les louages des autorités, pour qu’on leur donne de l’argent. C’est comme s’ils organisent des Xawaré. Et toujours d’après Mam Gor, “au Sénégal, les musiciens n’abordent plus des chansons à thème, qui éveillent… Les chanteurs ne produisent que de textes vides”, a-t-il asséné.
Pour en revenir au projet de “vendre la destination Sénégal”, Diazaaka prévoit de faire une tournée, en collaboration avec l’Agence sénégalaise de promotion touristique (Aspt), pour promouvoir le tourisme au Sénégal. Et c’est sur un lieu symbolique, la Casamance, qu’il démarrera sa tournée. Il s’est désolé de l’image qu’on colle à cette zone du pays. Cela parle fait des agissements de “groupes de bandits”.
