Le ministre de l’Intérieur, Aly Ngouille Ndiaye, s’invite dans le débat soulevé par le professeur de droit Constitutionnel, Babacar Guèye. Selon lui, la Constitution est claire : le Président Macky Sall ne peut pas briguer un troisième mandat en 2024.
“Dans la nouvelle Constitution, il est mentionné que le président de la République n’a droit qu’à deux mandats”, tranche-t-il sur les ondes de la Rfm.
Le problème, ajoute-t-il, c’est qu’au Sénégal les professeurs et autres intellectuels sont souvent animés par un désir de soulever des débats. Mais la Constitution est formelle et “le Président Macky Sall n’envisage même pas de briguer un troisième mandat”.
