Membre fondateur de l’Alliance pour la République (Apr), Wane natif de Thioumbalel, ayant grandi à Mboumba, s’engage aujourd’hui à peser de tout son poids, «à utiliser son entregent», pour l’épanouissement de ses concitoyens.
«En tant que chef d’entreprise en contact avec plus de 6 mille de nos compatriotes aux Usa et au-delà, je vais continuer en tant que député, élu du peuple, à servir mon pays, plus que je ne l’ai fait jusqu’ici», explique le patron de «Wane Direct». Longtemps engagé aux côtés du président de la République actuel, Souleymane plus connu sous le nom de Moustapha Wane, se définit comme un homme qui «travaille exclusivement pour la réussite du Plan Sénégal émergent (Pse)» dans toutes ses composantes. «Je sais bien ce qu’on vit là-bas. Et j’ai la latitude pour aller à la rencontre de mes compatriotes. Même s’il est clair que le temps c’est de l’argent au pays de l’Oncle Sam, je suis bien placé, en tant que leader d’une entreprise, de faire certains déplacements sans pour autant retarder mon boulot», laisse entendre cet ingénieur en informatique titulaire d’un Ph. D à l’Université de Colorado. Des études faites après avoir obtenu son baccalauréat au Sénégal.
Aujourd’hui, Moustapha Wane compte mettre à profit son «vécu et son expérience» pour un développement durable dans tous les domaines. «Je suis conscient du travail qui nous attend, mais je suis d’attaque pour mener à bien cette mission ô combien importante pour moi et pour toute la nation». Au nom du chef de l’État dont le «seul objectif est d’abréger la souffrance des Sénégalais».
