Deux jeunes Sénégalais, Diabel Samb (32 ans) et Mamadou Ndao (24 ans), ont été placés en détention mercredi dernier à New York. Ils sont poursuivis pour vols à mains armées commis dans plusieurs magasins new-yorkais.
Leur arrestation est intervenue, selon L’AS, au bout d’une course poursuite avec la police. Laquelle les accuse, pour corser l’addition, d’avoir mis en danger la vie de l’un de leurs agents. Les mis en cause étaient à bord d’une Jeep, qui a été abîmée au cours de leur fuite.
Diabel Samb et Mamadou Ndao doivent comparaître devant le tribunal mardi prochain. Le plus jeune des suspects, Ndao, était recherché aussi pour possession de marijuana.
Pour rester en liberté jusqu’à leur jugement, les deux Sénégalais doivent verser, respectivement, 300 millions de francs Cfa et 600 millions de francs Cfa, les montants des cautions.
