A sa sortie de cette entrevue avec Khalifa Sall, l’ancien ministre de l’Hydraulique renseigne qu’il a rencontré un homme courageux malgré les affres de la prison. Revenant sur cette détention qu’il juge abusive, Oumar Sarr a promis au pensionnaire socialiste de lutter pour mettre un terme aux dérives du régime qui, dit-il, se distingue par l’embastillement d’adversaires politiques. Ce qui, à l’en croire, est contraire à la démocratie et à la Constitution du pays. Cependant, pour venir à bout du régime, il a exhorté ses collègues de l’opposition à mettre en place une large coalition en vue des élections législatives du 30 juillet prochain.
