Il confie, dans Le Quotidien, qu’ils étaient confrontés à un problème d’approvisionnement en eau et exposés au risque d’électrocution.
Il dit : «Un pompier, qui a son véhicule, se déplace sur les lieux, met toutes ses connaissances en œuvre pour lutter contre le sinistre, alors qu’il n’a pas de moyens d’eau. Imaginez un pompier qui interrompt son intervention pour retourner chercher l’eau ! Est-ce que le feu va attendre ? Au contraire, il va s’amplifier. C’est ce qui est à l’origine de la difficulté des sapeurs-pompiers au niveau du Parc Lambaye, au niveau de Sandaga il y a deux ou trois ans de cela.»
