La population de Touba est en train de donner meilleure mine à la localité. Elle s’est mobilisée pour débarrasser la ville sainte de toutes ses ordures. Cela est une vieille tradition recommandée par Serigne Bara Mbacké, fils de Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba (fondateur du Mouridisme). “A chaque approche du Magal de Touba, avait-il prescrit, il faut nettoyer la ville afin de l’embellir et d’en faire un lieu où règne le bien-être”.
Pour cette année 2017, trois véhicules tracteurs et un camion sont mobilisés. Cela, en plus de la mobilisation de la population et des associations religieuses que compte la ville. Pour les éditions à venir également, il est prévu de maintenir les moyens logistiques, qui contribuent considérablement au bon déroulement des opérations de nettoyage.
