Le khalife général de Madina El Hadji Souané, Mawlana Cheikh El Hadji Ibrahima Souané, est rappelé à Dieu ce mardi 20 mars, suite à une longue maladie.
Le khalife, qui avait officiellement 89 ans, mais bien plus selon certains de ses proches, est décédé hier, à l’hôpital principal de Dakar.
Madina El Hadji Souané était le deuxième khalife après son père, Cheikh Mohamed Salim Souané, qui s’est beaucoup employé à l’expansion de l’Islam et les vertus de la Sunna et qui a fondé la cité religieuse de Madina El Hadji Souané.
Maintenant, l’honneur échoit à son frère, Cheikh El Hadji Karamba Souané, d’assurer le Khalifat, qui était le « Borom Daaraji » (le maître en charge de l’enseignant coranique) dans cette cité religieuse, indique Sud Quotidien.
L’enterrement du khalife général est prévu ce mercredi à 14 heures à Madina El Hadji Souané.
