Le journal l’As, consulté par Actunet, le cite : “950 mille tonnes de riz ont été importées au Sénégal pour l’année 2016. Pourtant, ce riz brisé est un déchet, selon le Docteur El Hadji Traoré, directeur scientifique de l’Institut sénégalais de recherche agricole (Isra).
“Beaucoup de gens se demandent pourquoi les Sénégalais le consomme, car c’est un déchet. Le riz normal est utilisé pour autre chose. En plus, le riz que nous consommons, c’est un produit qui a beaucoup duré. Le produit importé, dès fois, n’est pas du riz neuf. Aussi ce riz n’a pas les mêmes qualités organiques et chimiques que le riz destiné à la consommation”.
