Le Syndicat autonome des médecins du Sénégal (Sames) a décidé de reprendre le combat pour la satisfaction de ses revendications, a annoncé lundi son secrétaire général, le Dr Boly Diop.
Ce changement de démarche s’explique par le “non respect des accords signés avec le gouvernement”, a indiqué le Dr Diop à l’issue d’une réunion de deux jours (14 et 15 octobre) du comité exécutif du Sames. Lors de cette rencontre organisée à Saint-Louis pour réfléchir sur le système sanitaire dans le contexte de la dernière réforme territoriale, il a prévenu “qu’aucune concession ne sera faite”.
Dans cette perspective, il a demandé aux médecins, pharmaciens et chirurgiens-dentistes de se tenir prêt pour un nouveau plan d’action et une forme de lutte plus radicale.
“Malgré toutes ces dispositions prises par le syndicat des médecins pour poursuivre le combat, ses membres restent disposés à travailler avec le nouveau ministre de la Santé et de l’Action sociale”, a-t-il néanmoins indiqué.
Selon lui, “le nouveau ministre de la Santé [Abdoulaye Diouf Sarr] fait montre d’un grand esprit de manager pour résoudre les problèmes du secteur afin d’arriver à un système de santé qui garantisse aux populations des soins de qualité avec des travailleurs épanouis et motivés”.
Le secrétaire général du SAMES a dénoncé “les inégalités criardes au niveau du système de santé qui, selon lui, persistent en matière de couverture sanitaire, parce que plusieurs régions du pays restent encore sans pédiatre, réanimateur et cardiologue”.
Il s’est désolé du fait que plusieurs spécialistes de la santé, qui sont de la hiérarchie A spéciale, sont mal rémunérés, s’insurgeant contre les retards récurrents de remboursement des prestations des structures sanitaires par l’Agence de la couverture médicale universelle (CMU). Pour lui, une telle situation “met en péril la viabilité” des structures sanitaires.
