Sékou Dramé est le nouveau directeur général de la Sonatel. Il a été nommé hier à ce poste par le conseil d’administration de l’entreprise qui «a pris acte du départ de Monsieur Alioune Ndiaye promu comme Directeur exécutif de Orange Middle-East and Africa (OMEA).» A ce titre, le DG sortant va siéger au Comité exécutif du Groupe Orange à Paris, indique un communiqué reçu à Actunet. Outre ses nouvelles fonctions, Alioune Ndiaye a été nommé comme président du conseil d’administration.
A 45 ans, le nouveau patron de Sonatel est un ingénieur produit de l’Ecole nationale supérieure des télécommunications de Paris. Il a déjà exercé de nombreuses responsabilités au sein de l’entreprise de téléphonie qu’il a intégrée depuis 2003. Tour à tour directeur des entreprises, directeur général adjoint, directeur du Pôle exploitation des réseaux, entre autres, Sékou Dramé était depuis juillet 2016 le Dg d’Orange Sierra Leone. Selon le communiqué cité plus haut, «il pourra bien entendu compter sur l’appui du Conseil d’administration pour que Sonatel reste un acteur clé du développement de l’économie numérique et de la transformation digitale en Afrique de l’Ouest.»
