En marge du vote du budget de la chambre de commerce de Kaolack, le président Serigne Mboup a procédé au lancement officiel de son nouveau mouvement dénommé “Kaolack, ma fierté!” , qui n’a aucune connotation partisane.
En lançant une telle structure, le capitaine d’industrie entend continuer à jouer un rôle majeur dans l’économie du Saloum avec la contribution de l’ensemble des fils de la localité. » Kaolack, ma fierté! C’est une économie en développement, une fierté à exposer,…une histoire à raconter. Alors c’est un appel citoyen apolitique destiné à être entendu par les filles et fils de cette ville centenaire du Saloum. Nous devons unir nos idées et nos actions au service de notre terroir et faire en sorte que Kaolack, jadis locomotive et jardin d’essai d’expériences et d’expérimentations économiques et politiques, redevienne cet espace de vigoureuses mobilisations animées par des citoyens investis dans leur communauté, qui n’ont de cesse de travailler à sauvegarder l’environnement pour léguer aux plus jeunes une cité vivante et vivable », a-t-il fait savoir.
Pour ce faire, le président du mouvement « Kaolack, ma fierté! », en appelle à la participation de l’ensemble des natifs de Kaolack pour un sursaut régional. « Kaolack est un siège de brassages et de métissages de divers souffles, imbu des valeurs ancestrales, du vécu des anciens et du legs de nos dignes érudits et héros. C’est tout le sens de ce mouvement, de cet appel qui se veut participatif et inclusif pour ne pas rater ce rendez-vous de l’histoire, du donner et du recevoir, du décollage et de l’envol », a-t-il conclu.
En ce qui concerne le vote du budget de la chambre de commerce de Kaolack, l’enveloppe financière s’élève à 435 millions dont 168 millions d’investissements. Parmi les priorités, le dragage du port de Kaolack prévu au courant de l’année 2018…
