L’Aftu qui gère les bus de transport en commun Tata ne cautionne pas les surcharges de ces moyens de transports utilisés par beaucoup d’habitants de Dakar et sa banlieue. En cette commémoration du naufrage du bateau le joola provoqué par une surcharge, le président de l’Aftu, Djiby Ndiaye, a appelé les usagers à refuser d’être entassés comme de la sardine dans les bus tata. En annonçant le renforcement du parc par des financements dont la recherche est en cours, Djiby demande aux populations de refuser la surcharge. A Dakar, les bus tata sont bondés de monde à toutes les heures, sur toutes les routes de Dakar et environs. Si le président de l’Aftu qui tire profit de la mise en circulation de ces bus en vient à appeler les usagers à refuser la surcharge, c’est qu’il est conscient de la catastrophe que cela peut entraîner.
