Le Ministre de l’Environnement et du développement durable, le professeur Mame Thierno Dieng, accompagné d’une forte délégation composée de conseillers techniques, directeurs et chefs de services de son département, a effectué une visite à Tivaouane, la sainte, ce samedi 25 Novembre, à quelques jours de la célébration du Mawlid (Gamou). Le Ministre a ainsi remis un important lot de matériel (poubelles, râteaux, brouettes entre autres) aux autorités locales et au Comité d’organisation du Gamou pour rendre la ville d’El Hadj Malick Sy, belle et propre afin d’accueillir les fidèles.
À cet effet, le Ministre de l’Environnement a reçu les remerciements et prières du nouveau Khalife Général des Tidianes, Serigne Mbaye Sy Mansour qui l’a reçu dans ses appartements privés. Le Khalife Général des Tidianes a apprécié la visite du ministre de l’Environnement et de sa forte délégation à Tivaouane. Il a également renouvelé ses prières au chef de l’Etat Macky Sall et à son Gouvernement.
