D’ici quelques mois, plus aucun “car rapide” ou “Ndiaga Ndiaye” ne sera plus aperçu dans la circulation au Sénégal. En effet, il y a, depuis 2015, une opération de retrait des moyens de transport précités. Un total de 1607 véhicules sont mis hors circuit, depuis cette date.
Selon le directeur général du Conseil exécutif des transports urbains de Dakar (Cetud), il ne reste que 900 véhicules – cars rapides et Ndiaga Ndiaye – à retirer de la circulation. Ces derniers seront remplacés par des voitures de meilleure capacité.
