63% des Sénégalais mangent du sel mal iodé

Gestionnaire du Projet iodation universelle du sel (Pius) de la Cellule de lutte contre la malnutrition (Clm), Adama Nguirane assure que le niveau de consommation du sel adéquatement iodé au Sénégal ne s’élève qu’à 37%. Assurant que ce taux est très faible, notamment parce que l’essentiel du sel qui est consommé au Sénégal est produit d’une manière artisanale non respectueuse des normes, il laisse entendre, de facto, que 63% des Sénégalais consomment du sel qui n’est pas adéquatement iodé. Ce qui pousse ce spécialiste à plaider en faveur  de l’implication de tous les secteurs à travers une approche multisectorielle, pour permettre une production de qualité au Sénégal.
