L’épidémie de bronchiolite est déclarée en Ile-de-France et Santé publique France annonce que la région Centre est en état de “pré-épidémie” en raison de la multiplication des cas. Mais comment savoir si votre bébé a attrapé ce virus ?
La bronchiolite est une maladie des petites bronches (celles qui amènent l’air tout au fond des poumons) due à un virus répandu et très contagieux (le virus respiratoire syncitial). Ce virus se transmet par la salive, les éternuements, la toux, les objets et les jouets souillés par une personne enrhumée et par les mains.
Ainsi, si vous ou quelqu’un de votre entourage est enrhumé, ce rhume peut-être à l’origine d’une bronchiolite chez votre bébé.
Bronchiolite: comment je la reconnais ?
Une bronchiolite commence comme un simple rhume avec un nez qui coule, une fièvre peu élevée. Mais petit à petit les symptômes s’aggravent: votre bébé est agité, n’arrive plus à avaler son biberon à cause de l’encombrement des bronchioles par des sécrétions qu’il n’arrive pas à évacuer. Il faut alors prendre rendez-vous chez le médecin, qui prescrit, le plus souvent, des séances de kiné respiratoire.
