Plus spécifiquement au niveau de la cuvette de Kolangal ou d’importants aménagements ont été effectués dans le cadre du Programme d’accélération de la cadence de l’agriculture senegalaise (Pracas), avec le concours de la Société Nationale d’Aménagement et d’Exploitation des Terres du delta du fleuve Sénégal et de la Falémé (Saed).
Sous ce rapport a été passée en revue une batterie de mesures incitatives en faveur des producteurs, dans la dynamique de “construire une agriculture compétitive, diversifiée et durable, facteur de renforcement d’une résilience qui tire avantage du commerce international, tout en garantissant des revenus stables aux ruraux”. Ce qui se décline , en terres bakéloises, par la promotion et le développement de l’agriculture irriguée – à travers la mobilisation d’investissements publics, la maintenance des infrastructures hydroagricoles, la gestion de l’eau et de l’environnement, l’aménagement rural et la sécurisation foncière, l’appui à la mise en valeur et à la professionnalisation ainsi que l’appui à l’entrepreneuriat rural privé.
