La campagne arachidière de cette année risque d’être “désastreuse”. L’alerte est lancée par le Collectif des producteurs et exportateurs de graine d’arachide. En effet, jusqu’à ces jours, aucun point de collecte n’est installé pour la campagne de commercialisation. N’ayant pas le choix, les paysans ont commencé à bazarder leurs récoltes dans le marché noir.
Les usuriers, eux, ont fini d’investir les zones rurales. A la place du prix de 210 Fcfa fixé par l’Etat du Sénégal, c’est la modique somme de 180 ou 185 Fcfa qui est actuellement proposée aux paysans.
Il faut noter également que seule la Sonacos est en train d’acheter l’arachide en cette période. Puisque les exportateurs attendent des modifications qui doivent être opérées sur les taxes, jugés “élevés”, de leurs opérations. Et même la Sonacos, informe Habib Thiam du Collectif des producteurs et exportateurs de graine d’arachide, est en train de décharger ses produits sans avoir remis un Franc aux paysans.
Comme pour dire qu’à ce rythme, ce sont des vagues de plaintes sur des bons impayés qui vont bientôt être au devant de la scène. En attendant la venue de cette situation désastreuse, les paysans sont malmenés dans le marché noir à travers la pratique communément appelé « Mbapatt » (lutte sans frappe).
