Les exportations de produits pétroliers du Sénégal ont chuté à 99,1 milliards de FCFA en 2016, contre 133 milliards en 2015, soit un repli de 25,5%.
L’Agence nationale de la statistique et de la démographie (ANSD) explique que les exportations sénégalaises sont dans une tendance baissière suite au repli des prix du produit depuis 2014.
Dans sa note d’analyse du commerce extérieur, l’ANSD explique que la baisse des produits pétroliers a “impacté principalement les provisions de bord pour l’avitaillement des navires et aéronefs qui sont ressorties en baisse de 43,3% comparée à 2015”.
Mais selon l’agence, “le Sénégal a étendu son marché de produits pétroliers dans la sous-région”. Ainsi, en plus d’avoir réussi à augmenter ses ventes vers le Mali (+26,9%), il est aussi parvenu à les orienter vers d’autres pays tels que le Burkina Faso (+88,5%) et la Mauritanie (4,8 milliards de FCFA contre 1,6 milliard de FCFA en 2015).
La structure des pays clients en 2016 a été modifiée au profit des provisions de bord pour l’avitaillement des navires et aéronefs toujours à la tête avec 74,3%, suivis du Burkina Faso (7,0%), du Mali (7,0%), de la Mauritanie (4,9%) et du Togo (4,5%).
La réduction soutenue des exportations en valeur au cours des trois dernières années a reclassé les produits pétroliers à la cinquième place avec 7,2% du total des ventes à l’extérieur contre 13,8% en 2013.
