« Le seul problème entre la France et le Sénégal, c’est qu’il n’y a pas de problème ». Cette boutade lancée, hier, par le ministre des Affaires étrangères, Mankeur Ndiaye résume à suffisance l’état des rapports les deux pays. Quatre jours seulement après l’entretien entre Emmanuel Macron et Macky Sall, les deux ministres des Affaires étrangères des deux pays ont eu une tête, hier, pour le suivi des orientations données par les deux chefs d’Etat. Jean-Yves Le Drian et Makeur Ndiaye ont exprimé la parfaite convergence de vues diplomatiques entre la France et le Sénégal, à travers leurs deux présidents de la République. « Nous avons un entretien fructueux sur la relation entre la France et le Sénégal et sur les questions d’intérêts communs et sur les questions internationales. Nous avons passé en revue toute la coopération et nous avons pris l’engagement de travailler ensemble pour consolider et élargir les relations déjà excellentes entre le Sénégal et la France avec des perspectives d’avenir », a expliqué M. Ndiaye qui avait à son côté son homologue français, Jean Yves Le Drian.
A en croire Mankeur Ndiaye, la France qui est le premier partenaire du Sénégal compte renforcer sa relation économique avec notre pays avec « des perspectives importantes » dans un contexte de découverte du pétrole et du gaz. A ce sujet, le ministre des Affaires étrangères a rappelé que le Sénégal et la France dors et déjà sur de nombreux projets d’infrastructures comme le Train express régional (Ter) avec une forte participation des entreprises françaises comme Alstom , la Ratp, la Sncf , entre autres.
En écho, le ministre français des Affaires étrangères, Jean-Yves Le Drian a embouché la même trompette. « Mon premier déplacement à l’extérieur, à Dakar, depuis ma nomination en tant que ministre des Affaires étrangères et quelques jours seulement , après l’entretien entre Emmanuel Macron et Macky Sall est la démonstration des excellentes relations entre les deux pays », a ssuré M ; Le Drian, soulignant l’important volume de stocks d’investissement de la France au Sénégal , environ plus de 200 millions d’euros avec à la clef prés de 15 000 emplois. Ce qui fait dire au ministre français des Affaires étrangères que les entreprises hexagonales participent ainsi à la croissance du Sénégal.
Par ailleurs, Jean-Yves Le Drian a réaffirmé la volonté d’Emmanuel Macron de mettre le focus sur la jeunesse et la société civile, comme axe central de sa politique de coopération économique avec les pays africains. « La volonté commune de la France et le Sénégal c’est de mettre l’accent sur la jeunesse et les forces vives », a –t-il certifié, avant de préciser que cela se « traduira par un renforcement de l’accueil des étudiants sénégalais en France ». Le patron du Quai d’’Orsay, siège du ministère français des Affaires étrangères est convaincu que « cette volonté d’aller dans cette direction est le ferment de l’avenir ».
Plusieurs dossiers internationaux comme la situation au Mali, en Gambie et en Guinée Bissau ont été évoqués. Sur toutes ces questions la France et le Sénégal parlent d’une même voix. Jean Yves Le Drian est accompagné d’Audrey Asoulay, ex-ministre français de la Culture et de la communication de Hollande et candidate de la France pour le poste de directeur général de l’Unesco.
