Après avoir lancé la marque Star Oil en 2002 en Mauritanie, la compagnie a pris pied au Mali depuis le 1er juin 2004, suite au rachat du réseau de stations services de la multinationale Exxon Mobil au Mali, pour un coût global de 6 milliards, 550 millions de Fcfa.
