Selon les Sapeurs-Pompiers l’Homme est le principal responsable des accidents de la circulation. Ses errements font de nombreuses victimes sur les routes, notamment sur le chemin des cérémonies religieuses.
Rien que pour l’édition 2017 du Magal, qui sera célébré ce mercredi, les pompiers ont enregistré 135 victimes, 30 morts et 105 blessés.
«Actuellement, il est intéressant de noter qu’à 95%, ces accidents relèvent du facteur humain, le manque de respect du Code de la route, les sorties non réglementaires, les vitesses excessives, etc.», énumère le chef du bureau des relations et informations publiques de la Brigade nationale des Sapeurs-Pompiers, le lieutenant Yatma Dièye.
