Ayman Al Zawahiri, le chef de l’organisation terroriste menace directement la France dans une vidéo qui rappelle les discours du fondateur d’Al-Qaïda.
Dans une des nombreuses vidéos émises par l’organisation terroriste Al-Qaïda qui célébrait les attentats du 11 septembre 2001 aux États-Unis, le numéro un de l’organisation, Ayman al-Zawahiri, égyptien et ex-médecin d’Oussama Ben Laden, s’est adressé à ses partisans africains dans une vidéo diffusée le 16 septembre.
Les analystes ont remarqué que dans ce document d’environ six minutes, il n’était pas question de la Syrie ni de l’Irak. En revanche, Al-Zawahiri, qui s’est aussi exprimé sur la Péninsule arabique et l’Asie du Sud, a été précis au sujet du continent africain, haranguant les combattants «d’Abidjan, Ouagadougou et Tombouctou aux sommets de l’Atlas, de Chinguitti [la ville est connue pour un certain conservatisme et son élite religieuse, NDLR] à Seva» et les appelant à «donner une leçon» à la France.
Frapper les consciences
Le jihadiste concentre en effet ses menaces contre l’Hexagone, qu’il accuse de «revenir» en Afrique, dans une claire allusion à l’histoire coloniale. Pour mieux frapper les consciences, l’Égyptien n’a d’ailleurs pas hésité à tracer un parallèle entre son combat et le mouvement anticolonialiste, en appelant notamment à la mémoire d’Omar el-Mokhtar, cheikh libyen né en 1858, qui fut actif dans l’organisation de la lutte armée contre la colonisation italienne de la Libye au début du vingtième siècle. Le leader terroriste a aussi pointé du doigt le maréchal Khalifa Haftar, le président algérien Abdelaziz Bouteflika ainsi que le président égyptien Abdel Fattah Sissi. Dans ces trois pays, Al-Qaïda se dispute le terrain avec son rival Daesh, qui a fait du désert du Sinaï et du Sud libyen deux de ses principaux sanctuaires dans le monde.
