Au Bénin, les syndicats de greffiers, d’officiers de justice et tout le personnel non-greffier suspendent leur mouvement de grève entamé le 18 octobre 2017. Cela représente 80 % des fonctionnaires de la maison justice. Il a fallu que le président Patrice Talon s’en mêle pour baisser la tension.
Les choses se sont gâtées dès les premières nominations du ministre de la Justice en août. Les syndicats ont relevé que les greffiers bombardés chefs n’ont pas toujours le profil requis.
Autres réclamations : des revendications à incidence financière. Le premier salaire d’un greffier avoisine les 200 000 francs CFA ; la seule application des textes pourrait le faire grimper sensiblement.
Depuis le 18 octobre 2017, la maison justice était bloquée par un mouvement de grève. Les usagers en ont souffert.
Relecture des statuts
Patrice Talon a rencontré les grévistes jeudi 2 novembre. Sans désavouer son garde des Sceaux, il a pris des engagements, comme le confirme Appolinaire Affewe. Greffier au tribunal de Pobè et secrétaire général du syndicat des greffiers et personnels judiciaires du Bénin, il relate la rencontre avec le chef de l’Etat :
« Nous avons convenu de la mise en place d’une commission qui va se charger de la relecture des statuts. Une fois que ces problèmes seront réglés, le président nous a demandé de faire en sorte que la maison Justice puisse connaître une paix qui permette aux investisseurs d’être rassurés et de revenir dans notre pays ».
