Un adolescent de 14 ans, qui a reconnu en garde à vue être à l’origine de plusieurs incendies survenus cet été près de Marseille, a été mis en examen jeudi pour “destructions par incendie”.
Interpellé mardi soir par des policiers de la sûreté départementale alors qu’il tentait d’allumer un feu dans sa commune, Aubagne (Bouches-du-Rhône), le jeune garçon, “fasciné par les pompiers” et qui n’avait aucun antécédent judiciaire, selon une source proche de l’enquête, a avoué avoir allumé au cours de l’été près de 20 foyers qui ont brûlé près de 300 hectares de végétation au total, entre fin juin et mi-septembre.
“L’examen psychiatrique n’a pas mis en évidence de trouble psychologique mais des troubles anxieux majeurs avec des éléments compulsifs et une fascination pour le feu”, a expliqué Xavier Tarabeux, procureur de la République à Marseille, au cours d’une conférence de presse. Il a requis le placement en détention provisoire du mineur.
Pour expliquer son geste, l’adolescent, scolarisé en 3ème, sans difficulté particulière, et qui vit chez sa mère, “a évoqué l’ennui et le désœuvrement”, a dit M. Tarabeux. Pour le premier incendie, il avait mis le feu avec un pétard puis a appelé les pompiers. Il a agi ensuite avec un briquet pour tous les autres feux.
