Le rapport 2017-2018 d’Amnesty International indexe le Sénégal en ce qui concerne la situation des Droits de l’homme. Restriction des libertés de réunion pacifique et d’expression, procès inéquitable, dures conditions de détention, impunité…sont autant de griefs, que l’instance internationale des Droits de l’hommiste a décerné au pays de la Teranga. Seydi Gassama qui présentait, hier, le rapport a cependant magnifié la diligence du procès de Hissène Habré.
Amnesty International qui par la voix de Seydi Gassama, a présenté son rapport 2017-2018 qui épingle le Sénégal en ce qui concerne la situation des droits de l’homme. Selon le bilan présenté par le secrétaire exécutif de la Section Sénégalaise d’Amnesty International, « les droits à la liberté de réunion pacifique et à la liberté d’expression sont restés soumis à des restrictions.
Les conditions de détentions demeurent particulièrement, dures et les enfants ont été, cette fois encore, contraints des mendier dans la rue ».Le rapport note aussi une totale absence d’équité dans les procès à l’instar de celui du maire de Dakar Khalifa Sall qui va connaitre son épilogue ce vendredi. Ce qui pose un véritable problème en ce qui concerne l’indépendance de la Justice qui reste toujours à la solde du pouvoir central, selon toujours Seydi Gassama.
« L’affaire Khalifa Sall confirme aussi le caractère ciblé des poursuites lancées dans le cadre de la lutte contre la corruption et le détournement de deniers publics. Ces poursuites semblent viser uniquement des leaders de l’opposition, alors qu’aucune suite n’est donnée aux rapports des corps de contrôle de l’Etat concernant la gestion des personnalités proches du pouvoir.
Si vous êtes du même bord que le Président, on ne fouille pas votre gestion, éclaire le directeur exécutif d’Amnesty section Sénégal. En outre, l’arrestation de 1000 jeunes pour libérer Khalifa, les bavures policières récurrentes ou mort d’homme s’en est suivi, la restriction pour le contrôle des réseaux sociaux, les morts en détention, la non-pertinence du retrait des enfants de la rue par le gouvernement, sont autant de violations imputés au régime de Macky Sall, selon le rapport d’Amnesty. Cependant, Seydi Gassama se réjouit du jugement d’Hissène Habré qui aura permis au Sénégal de montrer à la face du monde que l’Afrique peut bel et bien juger ses dirigeants.
