Un Franco-Palestinien détenu en Israël, sa femme interpelle Macron

Salah Hamouri, Franco-Palestinien de 32 ans, a été arrêté le 23 août à Jérusalem-Est. Son épouse, Elsa Lefort, attend des autorités françaises qu’elles exigent la libération de son mari.

Elle n’a eu aucun contact avec son époux depuis son arrestation. Mais Elsa Lefort s’active depuis la France pour obtenir sa libération. Salah Hamouri, avocat franco-palestinien, a été arrêté le 23 août à son domicile de Jérusalem, puis placé en détention administrative sur ordre du ministre israélien de la Défense Avigdor Lieberman. La décision du dirigeant d’extrême-droite a été confirmée en septembre par la Haute cour de justice. La détention administrative, une procédure extrajudiciaire très utilisée par les autorités israéliennes, permet d’emprisonner une personne sans inculpation ni procès pour une durée de six mois renouvelable indéfiniment.

Ni l’épouse de Salah Hamouri, ni ses avocats ne connaissent la raison de son incarcération. Le dossier est classé secret. “Lors de son arrestation, on lui a indiqué qu’il était suspecté d’avoir des activités au sein d’une organisation ennemie”, relate Elsa Lefort, qui réside actuellement en France. “Mais aucune preuve n’a été avancée pour corroborer cette affirmation”, explique la jeune femme de 34 ans. Sollicitée par France 24, l’ambassade d’Israël en France n’a, pour l’instant, pas donné suite.
