Kenya : la Cour suprême n’est pas en mesure d’examiner la motion sur l’élection présidentielle (AFP)

Le président de la Cour suprême kényane, David Maraga, a annoncé ce mercredi 25 octobre que l’institution n’était pas en mesure d’examiner un recours plaidant en faveur d’un report de l’élection présidentielle de jeudi, en l’absence de cinq de ses sept juges, rapporte l’Agence France Presse. Seulement deux juges étant présents, «nous ne pouvons pas former un quorum (…) et l’affaire ne peut pas être entendue ce matin», a déclaré le juge Maraga, dont la décision d’annuler la réélection du Président Uhuru Kenyatta en août avait mené à l’organisation du scrutin de ce jeudi 26 octobre.
