Le Mali se prépare à l’élection présidentielle dans cinq mois. A quelques encablures du scrutin, les violences ne s’estompent pas. Ce qui fait penser un report aux conséquences fâcheuses pour le pays.
Là-dessus, le Président de la République IBK a donné des assurances. Le gouvernement va tenir ces scrutins à bonne date et dans des conditions idoines afin que celui ou celle qui sera élu Président de la République ait toute la légitimité requise pour gouverner.
A sa suite, le Chef du gouvernement SoumeylouBoubèyeMaiga est revenu à la charge en affirmant que le gouvernement s’attèle à respecter le délai constitutionnel. Lors de ses tournées à Mopti et à Ségou, il a affirmé que le 1er tour de la Présidentielle se tiendra le 29 juillet prochain. Il écarte ainsi l’idée d’un quelconque report du scrutin, qui selon lui, va ouvrir la voie à toutes sortes de dérives. Le gouvernement va remédier à la situation sécuritaire délétère du pays afin de tenir de bonnes élections, a renchéri le Chef de l’Exécutif.
Si la majorité croit en la bonne foi du Gouvernement à tenir le scrutin à bonne date, par contre l’opposition émet quelques réserves. Elle va jusqu’à envisager une transition politique sans IBK. Des positions tranchées qui inquiètent les citoyens lambda sur la possibilité des autorités à juguler la crise politico-sécuritaire. C’est le cas du président du PIDS et non moins constitutionnaliste, Daba Diawara, qui envisagerait une transition politique sans IBK. Cela au cas où la présidentielle n’aura pas lieu à bonne date. Invité du débat politique d’une radio de la place, jeudi 22 février dernier, Daba Diawara a exprimé des inquiétudes de voir la présidentielle se tenir comme indiqué.
Ses avis semblent être partagés par bon nombre de maliens qui s’inquiètent eux aussi de la montée des violences au pays. Chaque jour qui passe, des éléments des forces armées et de sécurité perdent la vie sur le champ de bataille, des populations victimes aux marchés, à domicile dans leur lieu de travail. Au vu de l’évolution des choses, il y’a péril sur la tenue de la présidentielle. Déjà, les régionales et élections du District prévues en avril 2018, ont été reportées sine die afin de tenir la présidentielle.
