Des écolières disparues après l’attaque de leur internat dans le nord-est du Nigeria ont été “sauvées” par l’armée, selon les autorités de l’Etat de Yobe.
Une centaine de filles auraient disparu après que les élèves et les enseignants se sont enfuis dans la brousse, dans les alentours de la ville de Dapchi, où a eu lieu l’attaque menée lundi soir par des membres présumés de Boko Haram.
Une source policière de Yobe a déclaré que 815 des 926 élèves de l’internat avaient regagné l’école, une information donnée avant celle des autorités locales affirmant que certaines filles avaient été sauvées par l’armée.
Des sources locales ont déclaré à la BBC avoir vu des filles être emmenées dans des camions.
Dans un communiqué, le gouvernement de l’Etat de Yobe a déclaré, sans précision de leur nombre, que plusieurs filles avaient été “sauvées des terroristes qui les avaient enlevés” et étaient maintenant sous la protection de l’armée.
Reuters affirme, en citant des parents d’élèves et un représentant du gouvernement de Yobe, que 76 filles ont été “sauvées”.
Selon les sources citées par cette agence, au moins 13 filles étaient toujours portées disparues.
Deux filles ont été retrouvées mortes, rapporte l’agence Reuters, sans donner de précision sur les circonstances de leur mort.
Des tirs et des explosions ont été entendus à Dapchi à l’arrivée des assaillants, lundi soir, faisant fuir les élèves et les enseignants de l’école dans les buissons situés près de l’établissement scolaire.
L’attaque survient près de quatre ans après celle menée par Boko Haram, en avril 2014, à Chibok, dans le nord du Nigeria, où plus de 270 filles avaient été enlevées par ce groupe djihadiste.
