Le président russe Vladimir Poutine était en visite ce jeudi 28 septembre en Turquie pour des discussions avec son homologue turc Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Une visite qui confirme le réchauffement des relations entre les deux pays, et leur volonté de gérer ensemble les grands problèmes de la région.
Lors d’une conférence de presse commune à Ankara, les présidents russe et turc ont annoncé vouloir œuvrer ensemble pour mettre un terme au conflit syrien. « De fait, les conditions nécessaires ont été créées pour mettre un terme à la guerre fratricide en Syrie, (infliger) une défaite finale aux terroristes et permettre aux Syriens de retourner à une vie paisible », a estimé Vladimir Poutine.
Les deux chefs d’Etat ont déclaré vouloir intensifier les efforts pour rendre opérationnelle la zone de désescalade à Idleb, l’une des quatre imaginées mi-septembre lors des négociations à Astana entre la Russie et l’Iran, alliés du régime de Bachar el-Assad, et la Turquie, qui soutient les rebelles.
