La Mauritanie a expulsé de son territoire des responsables d’organismes de défense des droits de l’homme américains présents dans ce pays pour enquêter sur l’esclavage.
Les autorités qui les ont déclarés indésirables les ont simplement refoulés de ce pays qu’ils ont quitté pour Dakar. ¨Parmi les Américains refoulés de Mauritanie, figure le Pr.Jonathan Jackson, fils de Jessie Jackson.
C’est d’ailleurs lui qui conduit la délégation qui a débarqué à Nouakchott le 9 septembre dernier pour évaluer les efforts faits par ce pays dans la lutte contre l’esclave.
La délégation composée de 12 personnes devait avoir une audience avec le président mauritanien qui a décliné avant de se prononcer en faveur de leur expulsion vers Paris.
Mais puisque Dakar est plus proche, des négociations ont permis à leur avion d’atterrir à Dakar.
