Les autorités italiennes ont annoncé ce 3 novembre la saisie de millions de pastilles de Tramadol, surnommé la «drogue du combattant» dans le port de Gioia Tauro en Calabre.
La saisie a été effectuée par la police financière et les services anti-fraude de la douane grâce à des informations partagées avec des services de renseignement étrangers. Bilan de l’opération : 24 millions de pastilles de Tramadol.
Surnommé « la drogue du combattant », le Tramadol est un opiacé synthétique utilisé pour les médicaments antidouleurs est réputé pour augmenter la capacité de résistance à l’effort physique.
Les pastilles provenaient d’Inde et étaient dirigées vers la Libye. Leur vente au détail à 2 euros sur le marché noir nord-africain et du Proche-Orient aurait rapporté près de 50 millions d’euros au groupe Etat islamique. Selon les services de renseignement, le groupe jihadiste gère directement ce trafic pour financer des activités terroristes planifiées dans le monde entier.
En mai dernier, c’est au port de Gênes, en Ligurie, que la policière financière avait effectué une première saisie de 36 millions de pastilles de Tramadol. Toutes étaient cachées dans des bouteilles de shampoing.
