Trois Afghans et un Pakistanais ont été arrêtés le dimanche 19 novembre à Séléty, localité située à 92 kilomètres au nord de Ziguinchor dans le département de Bignona. Ils détenaient au moment de leur arrestation de faux passeports français et italiens. Placés en détention préventive, ils sont finalement poursuivis pour «faux et usage de faux».
Les suspects ont été placés en garde-à-vue avant d’être déférés le mardi 21 novembre 2017. Le mercredi matin, ils ont bénéficié d’un retour de parquet. Les premiers éléments de l’enquête, ouverte pour élucider leur affaire, ont révélé que les suspects ont déclaré devant le procureur de la République de Ziguinchor, vouloir se rendre en Guinée-Bissau avant de prendre le vol pour l’Europe.
Selon nos sources, au sortir du parquet, ils sont finalement poursuivis pour «faux et usage de faux». Leur arrestation a suscité des interrogations chez les populations de la région de Ziguinchor qui, vu leurs véritables origines, ont vite fait le rapprochement avec le terrorisme qui sévit dans le monde. Le contenu de l’enquête est différent de tout cela.
