Toujours à la pointe de décisions ahurissantes, le gouvernement zimbabwéen veut réglementer la consommation de l’alcool.
Une nouvelle loi interdisant le commerce de l’alcool notamment pour les femmes enceintes est en train d’être promulguée.
Cette loi, d’après la presse locale, est une initiative de l’ancien ministre de la Santé du Zimbabwe, Timothy Stamps. Elle met en exergue non seulement les femmes enceintes, mais également les conducteurs d’autos et les revendeurs.
Plus question de vendre de l’alcool les jours ouvrables; la consommation des produits alcooliques pendant des réjouissances (mariages, anniversaires…) sera réglementée. Une décision qui n’enchante pas les revendeurs de ces produits.
Pour les conducteurs, une personne prise en flagrant délit de conduite en état d’ivresse ou avec des taux d’alcoolémie excédant 0,08 par 100 ml, sera arrêtée.
Mis à part l’aspect économique sombre, cette loi pourra permettre de réduire un tant soit peu le nombre incalculable des accidents de la route qui est de plus en plus croissant dans les villes africaines.
