L’ancien Premier ministre demande à ce que les gens encouragent et soutiennent les efforts du gouvernement en matière de transparence et de bonne gouvernance afin de gagner plus de place et de devenir rapidement numéro un en Afrique, c’est à dire le pays le moins corrompu du continent. Elle rappelle que depuis 2012, le dispositif de lutte contre la corruption a connu des avancées significatives et qu’il faut poursuivre ces progrès et « ancrer dans la conscience collective une culture de reddition des comptes pour que l’argent public soit consacré aux besoins des sénégalais ». Aminata Touré de dire que l’Ofnac est un acquis précieux de notre système de gouvernance. « L’OFNAC a un pouvoir d’enquête mais pas de répression. La répression de la délinquance en matière de mauvaise manipulation des fonds publics relève de la Justice. Il ne faut pas confondre les rôles », a-t-elle précisé.
