Le Parti démocratique sénégalais (Pds) a tenu un Comité directeur hier mardi 26 septembre à leur permanence, en présence du Secrétaire général Abdoulaye Wade.
La réunion s’est tenue au lendemain de la déclaration de l’Ambassadeur de l’Arabie Saoudite au Sénégal, qui a déclaré que le régime de macky Sall a refusé le retour de Karim Wade au Sénégal.
A cela, Abdoulaye Wade a apporté des précisions claires. L’ancien chef de l’Etat a indiqué que “rien ne le retient là-bas. Karim Wade se porte bien. Il mène ses activités normalement. Il n’est pas malade et il est en bonne forme. Tous les jours, il communique avec les responsables du parti”, a-t-il dit.
Et d’annoncer, par la même occasion, que son fils sera bientôt de retour au bercail. “Karim Wade sera là avant les élections. Je pense même qu’il sera là avant le congrès (juin 2018). Il est au service du parti et de l’intérêt des sénégalais. Il battra sa propre campagne à la présidentielle”, a rassuré le Pape du Sopi.
Toujours pour dire que Karim Wade est libre de ses mouvements et nullement contraint à un semblant d’exil, Abdoulaye Wade a indiqué que “c’est lui (Karim) qui va choisir le moment propice pour venir au Sénégal. Il en discute avec ses alliés et le parti”, informe-t-il tout en invitant à rester calme.
Quant à l’échéance présidentielle, il a donné des assurances et des conseils. “Je suis venu vous appuyez et nous devons tout faire pour remporter les prochaines élections. Si les autres membres de l’opposition m’avaient suivi, on aurait gagné les élections législatives. Malheureusement, vous avez tous vu comment ça s’est déroulé. Ayons de la discipline”.
