Plusieurs meetings politiques, ont été organisés ce weekend à Touba, par les différents états-majors, signe de l’enjeu électoral que représente la ville sainte deTouba.
Les libéraux, sous la houlette de Sérigne Cheikh Mbacké Bara Doly, pressenti localement coordinateur du Pds par ses pairs, après le départ de Fallou Mbacké, exSecrétaire général de la Fédé- ration départementale Pds de Mbacké, ont mobilisé «malgré les sabotages et autres intox». Le meeting a failli, en effet être, effectivement, interdit par le préfet du département de Mbacké qui avait agi selon lui, suite au désistement d’un des principaux organisateurs qui avait requis une demande d’autorisation auprès de l’autorité administrative, en l’occurrence, Nadou Kane. Ce dernier avait en effet sollicité le retrait de sa demande par cause de troubles et de menaces entre camps rivaux au sein même du Pds pour l’organisation de ce meeting. L’évènement a été présidé par Omar Sarr, coordonnateur na- tional adjoint du Pds, Me Ma- dické Niang et Ahmet Fall Ba- raya. Il a été également noté dans la délégation la présence de Woré Sarr. Omar Sarr, en prenant la parole, a largement évoqué la tentative de sabotage qui, selon lui, n’a pas prospéré. Toutefois, il dira rendre compte au Président Abdoulaye Wade. «J’appellerai le Président Wade et notre candidat Karim Wade pour leur dire combien Touba a mobilisé». Et de poursuivre : «l’État a usé de tous les subterfuges pour saboter ce meeting. Leurs manigances n’ont pas abouti. Nous sommes satisfaits de votre mobilisation. Le Pds et les Mouvements Karimistes sont imperturbables». Omar Sarr d’ajouter sous les acclamations du public : «tout le monde sait combien pèse le Pds à Touba. C’est la résultante du rapport que Me Abdoulaye Wade en- tretient avec Touba, la sainte». Évoquant la question du retour annoncé, mais non encore ef- fectif de Karim Wade au Séné- gal, le coordinateur adjoint du Pdss’est voulu menaçant. «Qu’il plaise ou non à Macky Sall, Karim Wade reviendra au Sé- négal et viendra à Touba», a-til juré devant l’immense foule acquise à sa cause. Pendant que les libéraux dérou- laient leur méga meeting au ter- rain de la gare à Mbacké, la mouvance présidentielle, elle aussi battait le rappel destroupes.
