Une manière pour lui de porter la réplique à des caciques du pouvoir qui ont indiqué que l’ancien Président de la République ne maîtrise pas un tel dossier relatif à la marche économique du Sénégal. «La situation économique du pays est chaotique», a-t-il encore lâché dans une note envoyée à actunet. Et, pour prouver qu’il a bel et bien raison, il a désigné quelques-uns de ses lieutenants pour débattre avec des membres du Gouvernement sur le sujet.
“En réponse à Madame Aminata Touré, ancien Premier Ministre, le Parti démocratique sénégalais (Pds) a demandé et obtenu de son Secrétaire Général National, Me Abdoulaye Wade la désignation d’un groupe d’experts, parmi ses collaborateurs et membres de la direction du parti pour débattre avec le gouvernement”, a fait savoir Mayoro Faye, chargé de communication de l’ancien parti au pouvoir.
Il a terminé en faisant savoir qu'”à la satisfaction des Sénégalais, poser le débat sur la dette publique avec le gouvernement, en abordant particulièrement le niveau réel de la dette, sa pertinence et son impact sur l’économie nationale et sur les citoyens dans les différents domaines d’activité.”
