L’association «Diourbel Santé» a organisé une journée de consultation gratuite au niveau de l’école Algor Dioum où 504 patients ont été consultés. La dermatose et les parasitoses sont les principaux motifs de consultation lors de la journée. Cette activité entre dans le cadre de la célébration des 72 heures médicales.
Ibrahima Sall, étudiant en 5e année de médecine à la Faculté de Médecine de Pharmacie et d’Odontostomatologie de l’Université Cheikh Ana Diop de Dakar et par ailleurs président de l’association «Diourbel Santé» explique dans le journal Sud Quotidien, lu par Actnet.net, qu’a niveau de la pédiatrie, 109 enfants ont été pris en charge, avec près de 60% de cas de parasitoses et 20% de cas de dermatoses sont liées aux infections respiratoires.
Ibrahima Sall relève aussi qu’au niveau de la gériatrie, 70 patients et les pathologies les plus dominantes sont l’hypertension artérielle et les rhumatismes articulaires.
Eu delà de la journée de consultation gratuite, l’association «Diourbel Santé» qui regroupe les étudiants de la Faculté de Médecine, des étudiants de l’unité de formation et de Recherche (Ufr) de santé des universités de Saint Louis, de Thiès et de Ziguinchor, ressortissants de Diourbel avait aussi organisé des séances de don de sang et de dépistage du Vih et une conférence sur les conséquences de l’auto médication et de l’insuffisance rénale chronique.
