CAMBRIOLAGE CHEZ BABATANDIAN – Des bijoux d’une valeur de 30 millions Cfa emportés

Le sieur Mamadou Boiro a été attrait hier devant la barre du Tribunal d’instance de Dakar. Il était poursuivi pour vol de bijoux d’une valeur de 30 millions Cfa et de numéraire correspondant respectivement à 1000€ et 400.000 Cfa. Le prévenu n’est personne d’autre que le boy de Baba Tandian. C’est d’ailleurs le patron de l’Imprimerie Tandia et non moins ancien président de la Fédération sénégalaise de Basketball qui a porté plainte contre lui pour vol au préjudice de l’employeur. Dans sa déposition consignée au procès-verbal d’enquête, Baba Tandia suspecte son boy d’avoir commis ce forfait. Dans la foulée, il a précisé lors de l’enquête préliminaire, que les bijoux subtilisés dans sa villa sise à Sacré-Cœur, étaient la propriété de son épouse. Mais à la barre, le Boy de Baba Tandia a catégoriquement nié les faits qui lui sont reprochés. À l’en croire, il n’a commis aucune infraction. C’est la raison pour laquelle il a indiqué que son arrestation dans le cadre de cette affaire, relève de l’arbitraire. Malgré ses déné- gations, il a été déféré au parquet puis placé depuis le 31 mars dernier en détention pré- ventive à la Maison d’arrêt de Rebeuss. Renvoyé pour complément d’information Hier, lors de son procès, le pro- cureur a enfoncé le clou. Selon le maître des poursuites, le pré- venu devrait plutôt être pour- suivi pour vol aggravé. À l’en croire, Mamadou Boiro s’est introduit dans la chambre du couple Tandia, en escaladant le balcon avant de faire main basse sur des biens appartenant à autrui. Sous le bénéfice de toutes ces observations, il a de- mandé à cette juridiction de jugement où comparaissait le prévenu, de se déclarer incompétente pour juger cette affaire. Pour le représentant du Minis- tère public, ce dossier aurait dû être enrôlé par le Tribunal de grande instance de Dakar. La défense qui a relevé plu- sieurs zones d’ombres dans cette affaire, en a profité pour intro- duire une demande de liberté provisoire. Mais cette requête a été purement et simplement rejetée par le Tribunal pour éviter une subordination de té- moins. Le juge pénal soucieux d’un procès équitable, a finale- ment renvoyé ce dossier en ins- truction, pour complément d’in- formation. Affaire à suivre…
