Cheikh Ahmed Tidiane Niass est né en 1940 et devient le 5ème khalifé général des Niassénes.
Des sources affirment que le nouveau khalife a été béni pour sa nouvelle mission et pris langue avec ses frères et autres parents comme Sidy lamine Niass et Ahmed Khalifa entre autres.
