4. I don't think there are very many people who want to abolish all copyrights. It's just that current copyright law goes much (much, much) too far.Abolishing all patents would be ok, though. That probably wouldn't reduce innovation at all. We would need some alternative systems to reward some kinds of economic activity (e.g., exclusive rights to sell drugs for a certain period of time in exchange for putting them through clinical trials).
