I love #1. Totally agree. I keep encouraging writers who want to “monetize” to stop wasting their time with ads (nothing against that approach, of course) and start being helpful. Great job on all of these.. I think the border effects you added to them were perfect for their subjects. The photo of the tractor had a wonderfully "rugged" textured border and the one with the temple looked very "poster-ish". Awesome.

There is certainly divided opinion about 26a. I am in the camp that does not like it for 2 reasons. Firstly I do not like to see ‘names’ in a cryptic crossword, and secondly, if it is going to be included, at least make it gettable from the clue. You might as well say, “who discovered the x-ray?”. I strongly dislike the big clunky next/previous page buttons as well as the exclusion of the helpful sidebars that list the “Meme Flavors”. I feel like the buttons being bigger makes the page feel smaller as well as there being fewer actual memes per page. Those are the only problems I really have with that version though.
