faite il y a deux ans de cela. «Lorsque ces personnes sont venues me présenter leur projet, j’ai été un peu réticent. J’ai ensuite demandé conseil à mes clients. Ils m’ont dit qu’ils sont
preneurs et qu’ils en entendaient souvent parler». Aujourd’hui, les jeunes âgés de 15 ans et plus ne quittent pas la machine.
Un tour aux Parcelles assainies unité 4 a permis de faire le même constat. De loin, on aperçoit une salle équipée de babyfoot et de consoles de jeux. Camberène, un autre gérant de Pachinko nous dit que «ses collaborateurs passent tous les
dimanches matin, pour récolter l’argent contenu dans la machine. La machine en question est invulnérable. On ne peut pas l’ouvrir par la force. Mais eux (les Chinois) lorsqu’ils viennent, ils l’ouvrent discrètement et vont la vider dans leur voiture. Je ne me suis pas fait une idée de ce qu’ils gagnent, mais c’est d’importantes sommes. Parce qu’il est courant que des gens perdent mille Francs ou plus en quelques instants», dit-il prudent.
Nous avons parlé à un adepte de ce jeu. En classe de 4 ème secondaire, il indique y jouer
pour se faire un peu d’argent de poche. «Avec cet argent, je peux prendre un bon petit
déjeuner et grignoter des choses. Aussi, j’invite mes amis à jouer au babyfoot», explique-t- il avec un brin d’innocence.
Des scènes de violences sont souvent notées devant «la folie japonaise». Ce gérant explique que «ce jeu rend les nerfs tendus. On peut beaucoup y gagner, comme on peut tout y perdre. Il y a souvent des gens qui y laissent tout leur argent. Et là, pour un oui ou un non ils laissent éclater leur colère. Mais on comprend et ça passe».
